By giving national police control of a UN post, the UN began the removal of MONUSCO peacekeeping personnel from the Democratic Republic of the Congo on Wednesday, as observed by an AFP team.
The flags of the DRC were officially replaced with those of the United Nations and Pakistan, whose forces were stationed at the Kamanyola base on the borders of Rwanda and Burundi.
