His Excellency George Mkondiwa, Former Ambassador and Chief Secretary of Malawi, Appointed as Chairman of Project 100

Delhi, August 22, 2023 – Project 100, an international non-profit network dedicated to promoting social and environmental peace, is proud to announce the appointment of His Excellency George Mkondiwa as its Chairman. The event was marked with distinguished dignitaries from various ministries and the private sector, attending the ceremony held at Hotel Ashok in Delhi.

George Mkondiwa, a distinguished global leader and diplomat, previously served as the Ambassador of Malawi to the United States. His vast experience also includes a prominent role in India as the former High Commissioner of Malawi. He has made significant contributions to key ministries, including the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has held esteemed positions such as Principal Secretary and Cabinet Secretary in the Government of Malawi. Notably, he has also played a pivotal role as Vice Chairman of the African Cabinet Government Network, overseeing 14 countries in the southern region of the African continent.

The appointment letter was presented to His Excellency George Mkondiwa by Shri Suraj Gaikwad, the Founder President of Project 100. As the first task under his chairmanship, His excellency appointed the new CEO, Mr. Yashashvi Mukesh, to further usher the organization in a new direction with renewed energy. This ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Women and Child, and the Supreme Court of India.

Project 100 aims to cultivate “social and environmental peace” through facilitated discussions, collaborations, and impactful initiatives across the globe. With the dynamic leadership of His Excellency George Mkondiwa, the organization is strategically focusing on empowering the global south, particularly in Asia and Africa.

In its forthcoming initiatives, Project 100 plans to unite 100 Ambassadors, 100 Bureaucrats, and 100 Media channels on a single platform in the coming October. This collaborative effort seeks to foster meaningful discourse and drive collective action towards achieving social and environmental harmony.
